千葉大学大学院医学研究院分子病態解析学講座で、癌抑制遺伝子p53、中でも変異p53の"gain of function"を中心とし、がんの悪性化や休眠に対するメカニズム解析を行っています。 今まで、p53、RB、GATA3ネットワークのがん悪性化への役割、脂肪細胞とがん細胞でのミトコンドリア超複合体に会合してエネルギー代謝を制御するp53下流遺伝子DPYSL4の機能解析や変異p53の悪性化分子機構における役割などについて検討を行ってきました。 現在は、治療抵抗性乳がんの克服と新たな創薬標的の発掘を目的に、3次元培養と変異p53による"gain of function"の作用メカニズム解析を通じて、ホルモン感受性がんである乳がんの悪性化分子機構と休眠スイッチ機構の分子基盤の解明を目指しています。
